The Assistant Store Manager - Store Admin role at Giant Food supports the overall store management team by focusing on administrative functions critical to efficient store operations. This position assists in overseeing key administrative areas, ensuring compliance, and facilitating smooth communication and workflow within the store. The Assistant Store Manager - Store Admin will contribute to maintaining a well-organized and effective store environment, supporting both associates and customer service excellence. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various store departments.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Store Manager in various administrative tasks and projects to ensure efficient store operation.
  • Assist with the management of store records, reports, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Help coordinate internal communications and information flow between different store departments and the management team.
  • Support scheduling and timekeeping processes, ensuring adherence to labor guidelines and efficient staffing.
  • Assist with inventory management administrative tasks, including record-keeping and coordination with relevant teams.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new store associates by managing related paperwork and administrative requirements.
  • Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements through administrative oversight.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure necessary documentation is readily available.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve administrative issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure administrative needs are met and processes are streamlined.
  • Maintain organized administrative files and systems for easy access and retrieval of information.
  • Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and other financial administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support the management of store supplies and ensure adequate levels are maintained.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by providing administrative support to the store team.
  • Undertake other administrative duties and projects as assigned by the Store Manager or other leadership.

What You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a retail environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with associates and customers.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of basic store operations and procedures is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to meet job and schedule requirements.
