Description:
Vaco is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Financial Analyst to join a dynamic team supporting a PE-backed company within the manufacturing sector. This role offers the opportunity to delve into financial data interpretation, cost analysis, revenue cycle support (encompassing aspects of accounts receivable and payable), and the preparation of insightful financial reports. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing data-driven insights to facilitate strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical capabilities, a meticulous approach to detail, and the capacity to manage diverse financial responsibilities while contributing to informed operational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Gather and interpret financial information pertaining to production expenditures, material costs, and operational performance.
- Contribute to management reporting through the development of dashboards, variance explanations, and presentations of findings.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by organizing and scrutinizing critical cost-related information.
Costing & Supply Chain Support
- Track variations in costs and maintain models for the expenses associated with raw materials, packaging components, and finished products.
- Assist in conducting cost-benefit evaluations for potential new product introductions, process improvements, and negotiations with suppliers.
Revenue Cycle Assistance
- Support the processing and verification of invoices related to materials, equipment acquisitions, and overhead expenses.
- Aid in transaction reconciliations and contribute to the resolution of any discrepancies identified.
- Monitor incoming payments from customers and support the efficient processing of customer invoices.
Administrative & Compliance
- Maintain organized financial records related to costing and provide support during internal and external audit procedures.
- Ensure adherence to established financial policies and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance financial processes and improve documentation practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a financial analysis or accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or related industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with financial planning software (such as Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar ERP modules), and experience with data visualization tools.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial analysis techniques, budgeting methodologies, and revenue cycle basics.
